At Ernest Henry Mining our people are fundamental to our success. We believe that a diverse workforce is essential for sustainable business growth. We treat our people fairly and with respect and ensure they have the opportunity to develop their careers to match their potential.
Ernest Henry employs staff on both a fly-in fly-out and residential basis, with preference given to potential local employees and those willing to relocate to Cloncurry where possible. We work closely with key community stakeholders to provide real and meaningful vocational career pathways, offering apprenticeships in various disciplines, trainee programs for local residents and on-the-job training and work experiences for local school students. .
In 2015, we introduced a new School Leavers Program to provide an opportunity for local Year 12 graduates to obtain first hand exposure to the mining industry in a safe learning environment. The program is open for applicants annually and is exclusive to Year 12 graduates who live residentially in Cloncurry.
We provide jobs for approximately 530 employees plus contractors.
